JAKARTA - British popular music magazine, NME (New Musical Express) has released a list of 100 newcomer artists who will conquer 2023. Named NME 100, in this list, there is the name of trio rock from Indonesia, Voice Of Baceprot (VOB).

Marsya (vocals, guitars), Widi (bass), and Sitti (drums) juxtaposed with international names such as British pop trio FLO, US Grammy nominee GloRilla, metal unit Heriot, punk quartet Panic Shock, and many others.

In his statement, NME said that VOB is highly recommended for Rage Against The Machine and Deftones fans both in terms of lyrics and music. They are also referred to as a band that voiced gender equality.

"Voice Of Baceprot is a rock trio that advocates for gender equality through strict riffs and harsh lyrics about social justice, religion, and others," wrote NME.

"After years of honing their skills and sound with their mentors, the band is set to release their debut album," the caption continued.

NME then named big names such as Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) and Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) as figures who admired VOB.

"(guess) they should have told you all you need to know (about the VOB)."

Responding to this achievement, VOB wrote their social media accounts with full of development and gratitude.

"Super controlled to be included in 2023's NME 100. Thank you, @nmegazine! Check out their sense to find out more about all the other amazing artists on the list," wrote VOB on Instagram.
