Don't Panic Bun, There Are 133 Sirop Drugs That Are Safe From The Risk Of Acute Kidney Disorders

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) through the Directorate General of Health Services provides instructions or directives, health workers at health care facilities can prescribe or provide 133 liquid/sirop drugs that have been declared safe by BPOM.

The list of drugs has been confirmed not to use the proficient solvent glycol, polyethylene glycol, sorbitol, and/or glycerin/glicerol. This is as stated in Circular HK.02.02/III/3515/2022 and was signed by Plt. Director General of Health Services Murti Utami, in Jakarta, Monday, October 25.

A circular also instructs that pharmacies and drug stores can sell freely and/or freely to people who are included in the list of 133 drugs declared safe by BPOM.

Through this letter, the Ministry of Health conveyed to the local Health Office and Health Service Facilities to supervise and provide education to the public regarding the use of sirop drugs.

"The Ministry of Health will issue a notification letter again after the results of testing the Indonesian POM on other types of rollover drugs," said the Ministry of Health in a Circular issued on Monday.

BPOM has also searched registration data for 102 sirop drugs used by patients with a progressive atypical acute kidney disorders who are included in the Ministry of Health list.

As a result, BPOM confirmed that 23 of them were confirmed not to use the four solvents so that they were safe to use as long as they were in accordance with the usage rules. The twenty-three drugs are included in the list of 133 drugs based on drug data registered with BPOM.

Drug brands consumed by kidney disorders patients who were declared safe include Alerted Syrup, Amoxan, Amoxicilinm, Azithromycin Syrup, Cazetin, Cefacef Syrup, Cefspan Syrup, Cetrizin, Devosix drop 15 ml, Dompilon Sirup, Etamox Syrup, Interzinc, Nytex, Omemox, Rhinos Neo drop, Vestein (Erdostein), Yusimox, Zinc Syrup, Zibramax, Renalyte, Amoksisilin, and Eritromisin.
