When Razka Robby Ertanto Brings Guna Films To His Young Wife To The Modern Version

JAKARTA - Razka Robby Ertanto is directing the remake of the film Guna-Guna Young Wife under the production of Falcon Black. This film is a remake of the film of the same name which aired in 1977.

Played by Anjasmara and Lulu Tobing, Robby collaborated with Alim Sudio and Titien Watimenna to present a modern version that increased from the original version.

"This film is a remake of the 1977 film, so at that time the film was phenomenal because no one talked about witchcraft," said Alim Sudio as the scriptwriter at a press conference in Jakarta, Saturday, November 23.

"But now there are many but this is unique story and writing with Titien Wattimena so there is a woman's point of view in the film," he explained.

"The first time I watched the 1977 version, then I thought 'How come that year the film was aesthetically' by camera moving. When I was remake, I thought I couldn't keep the work good like 1977, fortunately Mrs. Erica (producer) really took care of us from pre to ending to post so that this film remains good as a work," said Razka Robby Ertanto.

Some of the scenes from the original film are used by Robby to give tribute and at the same time attach the two versions that still have a story that is in line.

The character was changed so much rupoa. There is also a dance scene like the original version to still capture things like the 1977 version, "explained Robby.

"Humans are cleaner than ghosts. The initial idea was then we thought that with Robby, we could make an elegant horror," added Erica.

In order for Young Wife to tell the story of Burhan (Anjasmara) who remarried to Angel (Carissa Perusset) even though she already has a wife, Vivian (Lulu Tobing). On the other hand, Angel was jealous of Vivian, who was always Burhan's priority, so she decided to use Vivian.

The Guna-Guna Young Wife film will premiere in Indonesian cinemas starting November 27.
