JAKARTA - Netflix released the first trailer for the film Ma Rainey's Black Bottom on Tuesday, October 20. This is the last film of the late Chadwick Boseman.

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom tells the story of Ma Rainey, Leeve, and their management in controlling Ma Rainey's career who is nicknamed 'Mother of Blues Music'. In the music industry, Ma Rainey is one of the blues musicians who is able to record his music.

This trailer is filled with the struggle of Ma Rainey (Viola Davis) with her blues group in conquering the Chicago recording world in 1927.

Meanwhile, Chadwick Boseman plays a horn player named Levee. His ambitious personality often caused him to argue with Ma Rainey.

Chadwick Boseman's last appearance in the film is one of the most awaited. The reason is, he filmed Ma Rainey's Black Bottom while undergoing treatment for colon cancer secretly.

The film Ma Rainey's Black Bottom is an adaptation of a play by August Wilson. Apart from Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman, this film also features Colman Domingo, Michael Potts, and many others. Meanwhile, George C. Wolfe acts as the director.
