Rhea Chakraborty Guarantee Application Granted

JAKARTA - Bombay High Court on Wednesday bailed actress Rhea Chakraborty in a drug case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Launching NDTV, Wednesday, October 7, the court said, "Rhea must report for 10 days at the police station after being released, keep her passport, not travel overseas without court permission and notify investigating officers if she must leave Greater Mumbai."

However, the court rejected bail applications from Abdul Parihar and Rhea's brother, Showik Chakraborty.

Rhea is accused of providing drugs for Sushant. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) calls him "an active member of a drug syndicate". He was arrested on September 8.

On September 29, the Bombay High Court has upheld its decision on their application for bail. During the trial, NCB challenged their petition, arguing that their alleged crime was "worse than murder or murder to blame".

Rhea Chakraborty made several serious accusations against NCB and claimed she was "forced to make a self-incriminating confession", which she has now withdrawn.

He said he had "committed no crime and was wrongly involved in the case". Rhea is the ninth person to be arrested in a drug-related investigation into Sushant's death.

Sushant Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Bandra on June 14. Mumbai police called it a suicide case.

On October 3, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) panel, which is tasked with examining the autopsy report, has rejected claims that the actor was murdered and it is confirmed he died by suicide.

This case has been examined by the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Directorate of Law Enforcement. Several well-known actors, including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan, have also been investigated for drug cases.
