JAKARTA - The SM Entertainment agency released a statement regarding one of their artists, Chenle. Today, the NCT Dream vocalist suffered a leg injury in the middle of the practice process for the group's upcoming comeback.

"Chenle is receiving treatment for an injury to his left knee while practicing for NCT Dream's 2nd comeback album," SM Entertainment said in a statement.

The agency explained that Chenle wanted to continue to participate in NCT Dream's latest comeback. Therefore, he would still be joining in on some schedules.

"Our artist's health is our top priority, we are trying to focus on getting the artist to recover from his injury but Chenle announced he wants to meet fans while working on the album," the agency continued.

"But we ask for understanding from fans considering that performing on stage will be difficult, and we will do our best to treat (Chenle) so that we show a good side," concluded SM Entertainment.

The agency said Chenle would restrict movement during stage appearances. This is done so that his physical condition becomes better.

NCT Dream is known to be making a comeback with a second album entitled Glitch Mode. This album was released one year after the success of the Hot Sauce album in 2021.

Even though one of its members was injured, NCT Dream is certain to still release an album on schedule.

Chenle said that he was ranked first in the trending topic. NCT Dream or NCTzen fans flocked to write wishes for Chenle to get well soon.

The Glitch Mode album from NCT Dream will be released on March 28.
