Best, Lee Seung Gi Gets Exemplary Taxpayer Award

JAKARTA - As part of Taxpayer's Day every year, the National Tax Service carries out an annual tradition of giving awards to citizens for being exemplary taxpayers. This year, Lee Seung Gi received the presidential award and was also appointed an honorary ambassador for the National Tax Service in 2022, Soompi reported, Friday, March 4.

According to the announcement made by the National Tax Service, the reason why he was selected as a candidate was because of his contribution to the development of Korean culture and arts as well as the Hallyu wave, in addition to his sincere tax payments that contributed to the development of the country.

In response to this news, Lee Seung Gi's agency, Hook Entertainment, said that it was pleased that Lee Seung Gi was chosen as an ambassador and received the Exemplary Taxpayer award.

"We are pleased that Lee Seung Gi is receiving recognition for the good example and influence he has shown. We are especially proud that despite his busy schedule, Lee Seung Gi, who strives for a better appearance and development, was chosen as the 'exemplary tax payer'," the agency said.

"We will continue to fully support Lee Seung Gi so that he can spread his good influence. We also ask for your affection and concern for Lee Seung Gi, who is doing his best to set an example."

As a result of being appointed as an honorary ambassador, Seung Gi will carry out various promotional activities throughout the year to spread the culture of paying taxes. The inauguration ceremony is currently scheduled to take place at the end of April.

Apart from Lee Seung Gi, other actors have also received the award. In 2020 and 2021, actors Lee Seo Jin and Park Min Young were appointed ambassadors and received the award.
