JAKARTA - Actor Robert Pattinson has his own process in acting for the film The Batman. One of the things he learned the most was about fighting techniques in films where he adopted Indonesian styles.
"We use everything according to the Indonesian fighting style where you use two sticks and the movement is adjusted and then you remove the sticks," said Robert Pattinson as quoted by Den of Geek.
Pattinson is assisted by Rob Alonzo who is a stunt coordinator from the Philippines. He helped the actor to put on a fantastic Batman fight scene.
“Feels like a fight. It's actually quite difficult not to hit someone," he said.
On the other hand, Robert Pattinson did a lot of research to appear as the iconic figure. Starting from watching Christian Bale and Michael Keaton's version of Batman, reading comics, to trying out various Batman costumes from previous actors.
“Every costume has a bit of actor sweat in it. There are people who work in the costume department and do all the (costumes) for Batman movies so they don't care who the director is. They were just, 'Don't spoil this costume,'” Robert Pattinson told Jimmy Kimmel.
The Batman is Robert Pattinson's latest project. Replacing Ben Affleck, Pattinson will present a different story from the DC universe. Zoe Kravitz and Jeffrey Wright also star in this film.
The Batman film will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting March 2.
