JAKARTA - Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) volunteers had the first opportunity to watch the film You Are Not Alone in the exclusive screening at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta. They considered that the film, starring Ganindra Bimo and Adinia Wirasti, had many moral messages, especially about humanity and empathy.

The film You Are Not Alone tells the story of two people, Mika and Mira who are trapped in an elevator after an earthquake hits. Both have to think about survival because of the effects of the earthquake that could threaten their lives.

"This film is extraordinary, the human side is very visible. The players can play the characters they play. It's like the conditions and situations of being trapped in an elevator due to a disaster with life or death conditions. I really feel it," said Gamal, an ACT Jakarta volunteer when talking to reporters. , Friday, January 21.

Ganindra Bimo who was present at the event also felt the same way. He even likens what happened to Mika and Mira in the elevator while surviving, to a picture of the current situation of the world community when they are facing a pandemic.

"Like now, when will this condition (pandemic) end, when will we be able to live normally again as before. In this film, it's the same, we never know, when the rescue team will come. This makes the human survival mode automatic. lit up," said Ganindra.

"We all have to be ready with the survival button, because no one knows when a disaster will come. We can't live in our comfort zone, so we have to be ready and be able to embrace each other," he added.

Besides Ganindra Bimo and Adinia Wirasti, the film You Are Not Alone also stars Rio Dewanto. The film produced by MNC Pictures is scheduled to premiere in Indonesian cinemas on February 17, 2022.
