Spencer Elden's Lawsuit Regarding Nirvana Album Cover Denied

JAKARTA - The lawsuit against Nirvana's Nevermind album cover by Spencer Elden was rejected by a California Court Judge.

According to the Judge, Elden's attorney did not file an opposition until the specified time. They are given until January 13, 2022, to submit the required files.

Spencer Elden's party will take the time to fulfill the requirements. "We believe Spencer Elden will be given permission to continue the case," said Robert Lewis as Elden's attorney on Wednesday, January 5.

Last August, Spencer Elden sued Nirvana regarding the cover of the 1991 album Nevermind. The baby in the photo is Spencer Elden himself.

In his report, Spencer Elden considered them to be exploiting minors. As a result, he admits that he has lost his whole life because of the photo.

In fact, a few years ago, Spencer liked to recreate the pose and even made a tattoo that reads Nevermind on the chest.

Elden also sued Nirvana members: Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, album photographer Kirk Weedle, designer Robert Fisher, as well as record labels Universal Music and Geffen Records. Elden sued for 150 thousand dollars.

The photo was taken by Weddle who was a good friend of Spencer Elden's father. The photo was taken when the Elden family was holding a party.

Spencer Elden's parents paid $200 for the photo. Until now, the album cover has become an iconic portrait of Nirvana's work.
