Anti Mainstream, Lala Karmela Married With Bitcoin Dowry

JAKARTA - Singer and actress Lala Karmela officially married her boyfriend, Chris Hartland, on Tuesday, December 21. The moment of happiness was shared by their closest relatives which were uploaded to Instagram.

Through one of the uploads, a friend revealed bitcoin to be Lala's wedding dowry with Chris. They were also reluctant to say how much bitcoin was used as a dowry.

“Millennial weddings: bitcoin as a dowry,” said the friend re-shared by Lala.

This is considered anti-mainstream because not many couples choose bitcoin as a dowry for marriage.

The wedding looked lively where Lala and Chris compactly wore white clothes with Javanese customs. The husband also wore blanks and beskap on his big day.

No less cool, at the reception, Lala was seen performing with her guitar and singing several songs as a tribute to Chris. A number of celebrities were seen attending this event, one of which was Zaskia Adya Mecca.

Lala Karmela started her career as an actress where she starred in a number of soap operas and films. She also started working as a singer where she sang the song Buka Semangat Baru as a brand jingle.

On the other hand, Lala has also acted in films such as Ngenest, Bukaan 8, Partikelir, Kuambil Lagi Hatiku, and #MoveOnAja.
