JAKARTA - The online dating application, Tinder, together with Spotify present a new feature called "Music Mode" which is a feature that automatically plays the user's favorite music when his profile is viewed by a potential partner.

"Music Mode" is expected to help users more quickly find a match through their musical tastes. Quoting Phone Arena, Saturday, December 11, the music feature has actually been around since 2016 on Tinder in collaboration with Spotify.

Users can embed their favorite music in their profile so that they can be seen clearly by potential partners, but the music in that feature has not played automatically.

In Tinder data as of November 2021, 40 percent of users from Generation Z (1997-2012) have a favorite song added to their profile.

Ten percent of them get matches thanks to the feature of embedding their favorite music. With the “Music Mode”, users can liven up the atmosphere for their potential partner to be able to introduce themselves through their favorite song.

“With the 'Music Mode', users can represent their feelings as if they were at a party. You can find other people who also like the same genre of music as you, “said VP of Product Innovation Tinder Kyle Miller.

“Music Mode” will be on Tinder's “Explore” page, so users can open profiles that are organized according to their interests.

To be able to try “Music Mode” users must connect their Spotify and Tinder accounts and add their favorite songs to their Tinder profile.

The “Music Mode” feature will be available to Tinder users wherever Spotify and Tinder are available. “Music Mode” is set to be released in the coming weeks.
