JAKARTA - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Pamekasan Regency, East Java has determined the status of an extraordinary incident (KLB) in the 18 villages in the region.

"We have set as many as 18 villages for the KLB status, namely Batukulangan Village, Bugih, Campor, Dasok, Gladak Anyar, Groom, Jambringin, Jarin, Kramat, Ban Badung, Majulangan, Pamoroh, Bangkes, Panaguan, Pangbatok, Sumber Waru, Terrak, and Polagan Village," said Head of the Pamekasan Health Office Saifudin in Pamekasan, Saturday.

He explained that the determination of the KLB in the 18 villages was due to the large number of fires in the village, some even died.

"Based on the results of reports from each puskesmas per day, the number of children who died due to exposure toembikes in Pamekasan is six people," he said.

According to the Head of the Health Office, as of September 4, 2025, residents suspected of being exposed toembike in Pamekasan reached 417 people, with 160 positive patients.

"The six patients who died were between 4 months and 4 years old and they came from four sub-districts, namely Tlanakan, Pasen, Pamekasan and Larangan sub-districts," he said.

He detailed that from one person's sub-district, one person from Pamekasan sub-district, two people from Pasean sub-district, and two people from Larangan sub-district.

"Regarding the increase in cases and the determination of the status of the KLB, we have also accelerated the implementation of mass ubiquitous immunization as an effort to anticipate the wider spread of cases," he said.
