Recognize Hormone Disorders From The Roots Of The Problem, When Should You Be Alert?

JAKARTA - Hysteroidal imbalances such as testosterone, estrogen, and progesteron can cause various health problems, both in women, men, and children.

Problems such as acne that does not improve, irregular menstruation, fertility disorders, to more serious conditions such as Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) are often related to the hormone instability.

According to him, small changes to metabolic pathways can affect how the body produces or responds to steroid hormones. Understanding about it helps determine a person's health condition more thoroughly.

The TCA cycle is known as a center for cell energy production. If this process is disrupted, the resulting energy decreases and hormone metabolism is also affected.

Through TCA metabolic examinations, doctors can more precisely trace the causes of metabolic or hormonal disorders.

In Indonesia, hormone examinations generally use the immunology method. Although effective for hormones with high levels, this method is less than optimal for detecting hormones in very small amounts, for example androgen in women or children.

For these conditions, the Mass Spectrometry (LCMS/MS) technology offers higher accuracy. This method is able to measure molecules based on their mass and payload, so that it can detect hormones in very low levels in precision.

The LC'MS/MS examination allows for a more detailed analysis of metabolic androgens and other steroid hormones, including the Testosteron/DHT ratio, Andromeda, to a more complete steroid hormone panel.
