Menkop Invites ICMI To Strengthen Kopdes As A New Ecosystem For The Economy Of The Economy

Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Ferry Juliantono emphasized that cooperatives are the constitutional mandate and the people's economic foundation which is now strengthened through the Red and White Village Cooperative program.

Therefore, the Coordinating Minister emphasized that strengthening cooperatives also requires the support of the Indonesian Muslim Cendekiawan Association (ICMI) which has a strategic role in providing scientific views, coaching, and intellectual networks.

"This is to ensure that the people's economic movement runs more focused and sustainable, so that the benefits are truly felt by the community," Ferry said in a statement to the media, Saturday, December 6.

Ferry invites the ICMI to take advantage of this momentum to strengthen the people's economy in the future. Next year, there will be more than 80,000 modern retail outlets managed by the Red and White Kopdes.

"Maknanya, kita harus bisa memproduksi barang-barang sendiri untuk dijual di retail-retel modern milik Kopdes Merah Putih," imbuh Ferry.

In fact, for Ferry, this is a golden opportunity in encouraging the cooperative community to return to the production sector.

He also hopes that ICMI can build cooperatives or encourage MSME players in the ICMI family environment to start making soap factories, determinants, shampoo factories, soy sauce factories, sauce factories, sambal factories, and so on.

"Whatever the factory is, as well as small industries, and in the form of cooperatives, we will support it," said Ferry.

Ferry ensures that it will encourage the formation of industries, products, and factories, which will produce people's necessities.

"Don't be afraid, we will sell these products at the Red and White Kopdes," said Ferry.

According to him, this nation must again be confident in becoming a producer.

"Kemenkop will support 100 percent if anyone wants to become a producer, factories, goods, especially in the form of a cooperative business entity, we will pay for it," he said.
