Natural Disasters Hamper The Distribution Of IDR 900,000 In IDR 900,000 BLT In Langsa And Sibolga

The distribution of Direct Cash Assistance for People's Welfare (BLT Kesra) amounted to Rp900,000. In a number of areas affected by natural disasters in Sumatra experienced obstacles.

Plt Direktur Utama PT Pos Indonesia, Haris, mengatakan constraint ini muncul karena beberapa kantor Pos yang menjadi titik penyaluran belum dapat beroperasi secara normal.

Haris revealed that until now there are still two Post offices in the affected areas that have not yet fully operated, namely the Post Office in Langsa City, Aceh, and Sibolga City, North Sumatra.

"Lastly, on Monday, there was a Langsa and Sibolga area where we had not been able to fully activate. But now Alhamdulillah, we have started paying," he told the media crew at the Premier Rawamangun Post Office, Thursday, December 4.

Haris explained that before the disaster occurred, PT Pos had started distributing BLT Kesra Rp900,000. To some Langsa and Sibolga residents according to distribution data as of December 1, 2025. However, the process had to be stopped after the disaster hit.

"Sibolga does have an allocation, yes. There are 5,537 allocations (KPM). So yesterday before there was a disaster on the 1st (December) they were able to distribute it in 1,200. So there are still around 3,000 left. So it's still 20 percent for Sibolga. It's the same. So they have an allocation of 42,000 (KPM). It has been distributed in 10,565.

"So 24.59 percent as of December 1", he explained.

According to Haris, his party had considered continuing the distribution of aid in the midst of an emergency, but the plan was finally canceled.

He assessed that the situation on the ground, especially in refugee camps, did not allow further distribution without causing potential social jealousy.

"Kita tahu nanti kan di pengungkapan ini tidak hanya orang yang berhak menerima nih. Banyak masyarakat kita yang lain juga kan. Nah khawatir kita 'melah kok mereka dapat saya tidak' kan," jelasnya.

Therefore, he conveyed that PT Pos Indonesia is now continuing to coordinate with local governments to find the most appropriate way so that the remaining beneficiaries of the Kesra BLT can immediately get their rights.

"We are coordinating with the local government. So that we can distribute the rest that we have not distributed. So that it is in accordance with the data from our orders," he said.

He added that some recipients who had not been registered or had time to visit the Post office were also the focus of further coordination.

"So this is specifically for some of the remaining ones, who may not have had time to come to the office, we also don't have data on which they are, that's what we are coordinating with local governments, how do we follow up," he said.

Meanwhile, in areas that were not affected by the disaster, the distribution process of the Kesra BLT went smoothly and has reached around 85 percent, PT Pos Indonesia targets all distributions to be completed by December 11, 2025.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto menegaskan bahwa penyaluran BLT Kesra terus berlangsung di seluruh Indonesia.

Dia juga menyampaikan bahwa wilayah terdampak bencana, termasuk Sumatera, tetap menjadi prioritas, dan memastikan belum ada tambahan dana BLT khusus bagi para korban bencana.

"Sudah diberikan, sama sudah berjalan diberikan sama," jelasnya.

On the same occasion, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto emphasized that the distribution of BLT Kesra continues throughout Indonesia.

He also said that disaster-affected areas, including Sumatra, remain a priority, and ensure that there are no additional BLT funds specifically for disaster victims.

"It has been given, it has been given the same," he explained.
