JAKARTA - The government will soon build a Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) or a kitchen for the organizers of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program in remote areas. The number reaches 8,200 units.

Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana said that his party is also targeting 20,000 SPPGs to be formed in December 2025. Currently, 8,200 SPPGs will be built in remote areas.

"It will be built in the process of 4.700, which will be completed in December by approximately 170 and that's the number of beneficiaries of no more than 3 million people throughout Indonesia," he said at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 3.

Furthermore, Dadan is optimistic that within the next two months the entire kitchen of the MBG program organizers can be completed. Given, the number of beneficiaries next year is targeted to increase to 82.9 million.

"In the next two months in January-February (2026), most likely all SPPGs have been formed. So that March or April (2026) 82.9 million can be served," he said.

Of the 16,630 SPPGs that have been operating, Dadan revealed that only 3,223 have a Sanitation Higiene Certificate (SLHS).

"Only 3,223 SPPGs out of 16,630 SPPGs," said Dadan.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan, said that SLHS would be accelerated in line with the enactment of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) 115 of 2025 concerning Governance for the Implementation of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG).

"So there are 13 derivative regulations. One, Regulation of the Minister of Finance, one Regulation of the Coordinating Minister for Food, that's all, it's just a matter of adjusting the Presidential Decree in the 13 rules that already exist in BGN. We have accelerated the 3T SPPG, have accelerated the SLHS and fulfill the nutritionists," he said.
