Literacy And Financial Inclusion Are The Focus Of Government Meetings With Queen Maxima

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed that his meeting with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia and the United Nations Secretary-General "s Special Advocate (UNSGSA) for Inclusive Finance for Development Queen Maxima to encourage increased national financial literacy and health as well as strengthen an inclusive financial ecosystem.

Airlangga conveyed that this meeting was aimed at increasing awareness about the importance of financial health.

He added that in the concept of financial health, there are several main values, namely financial inclusion, literacy, and public understanding of various banking products, ranging from loans, mortgages, to consumption credit.

"So this meeting is to increase what is called awareness regarding financial health, financial aps is in the financial value starting from the first inclusion, second literacy, the three literations know banking products," he said after the Ministerial Group Meeting and Fraud & Scam Focus Group Discussion at the AA Maramis Building, Thursday, November 27.

According to him, many people currently have various financial accounts, so digital data coordination is needed to monitor the level of financial health.

He added that Queen Maxima also emphasized that the United Nations encourages financial health to become an important outcome of financial inclusion programs.

Therefore, Airlangga said that this would continue to be studied and followed up through cooperation with the United Nations.
