DPR Sentil Minister Of Nusron Regarding Land Dispute JK-GMTD: No State Negligence Is Shown

JAKARTA - Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives poked fun at the Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid in handling land dispute cases in Makassar, South Sulawesi (Sulsel), involving the company of the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, PT Hadji Kalla, and PT Gowa Makassar Tourism Development (GMTD), part of the Lippo Group.

Member of Commission II of the National Awakening Party (PKB) faction Muhammad Khozin highlighted how Nusron clarified the case. According to him, it is not good for the government to speak openly to the public.

"The Minister gently admitted that there was indeed negligence, whether it was an individual or an institution. But what is clear is that it is not good for us to show it to the public. Yes, that is our fault. Sorry," said Khozin at the Commission II Working Meeting of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, November 24.

Dalam permasalahan tersebut, JK sendiri mengaku pihaknya telah memiliki sertifikat resmi Hak Guna Bangunan (HGB) yang diterbitkan BPN sejak 1996 dan masih berlaku hingga 2036. Sedangkan, PT GMTD mengaku punya Hak Pengelolaan (HPL).

"Whatever the form is, the public should not be shown the state's negligence in the policies made," he said.

Even so, Khozin supports the plan of the Ministry of ATR/BPN to make improvements so that in the future similar problems do not happen again. However, he reminded, this problem not only needs to be resolved in the realm, but also across ministries/agencies.

"If this is not explained by the Minister, it means that the study is comprehensive, we are only installments to solve the problem. Even though it is my opinion, all of these algorithms have been found, the focus is different," he said.

"What happened in Surabaya, Jember Bondowoso, the locus is different, but the problem is the same. There is constitutional damage there, there is a constitutional impact in our country," he continued.

In addition, Khozin also reminded the DPR as the author of the law that it has a constitutional responsibility to resolve the problem through evaluation and projection in the future. Therefore, according to him, it is important to deepen the Raker.

"In this honorable forum, we are given an internal study, because we believe that there is not in this Republic an institution and human resources that understands and explores agrarian matters more than ATR/BPN," he explained.
