JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) is targeting the rehabilitation of the Pangga Irrigation Area irrigation network (DI) in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, to be completed on December 31.
Quoted from the upload of a video of his official Instagram account @kementerianpu, Friday, November 7, currently the water infrastructure rehabilitation program has reached 47.1 percent.
"Rehabilitation has been carried out since April 2025 and is targeted for completion on December 31, 2025," wrote the statement in the video upload.
The Ministry of Public Works explained that the rehabilitation of the irrigation network includes a 4,062 meter long progenitor facility in Central Lombok Regency and a 3,299 meter long secondary candle channel in West Lombok Regency.

Menurut Kementerian PU, rehabilitasi jaringan irigasi tersebut merupakan bagian dari transformasi sistem irigasi untuk mendukung swasembada pangan.
"Kami tidak sekadar memperbaiki, tetapi juga memperkuat sistem distribusi air agar lebih efisien dan merata," terangnya.
Adapun Daerah Irigasi (DI) Pangga telah dibangun sejak 1994 silam. Lalu, sumber aliran airnya berasal dari Bendungan Pengga.
DI Pangga sendiri berpotensi mengairi areal persawahan seluas 190 hektare.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, the rehabilitation of the irrigation network is part of the transformation of the irrigation system to support food self-sufficiency.
"We are not just improving, but also strengthening the water distribution system to make it more efficient and equitable," he explained.
The Pangga Irrigation Area (DI) has been built since 1994. Then, the source of the water flow comes from the Pengga Dam.
In Panggga itself, it has the potential to irrigate 190 hectares of rice fields.
