JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim), as part of the Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company, ensures the availability of fertilizer stocks in a safe condition to support the planting season in October 2025' March 2026.

Director of Operations for Pupuk Kaltim, F. Purwanto said that until October 10, 2025, the total production that had been achieved reached reached reached 5.34 million tons, or more than 80 messages from the annual production target of 6.43 million tons.

Meanwhile, for petrochemical products, he added that calcim fertilizer has recorded a production realization of 2,251,303 tons of ammonia.

According to him, with this positive production achievement, Pupuk Kaltim is optimistic that it can meet the production target for 2025 of 6.43 million tons, which includes 3.43 million tons of urea, 285 thousand tons of NPK, and 2.71 million tons of ammonia.

He conveyed that this optimism was supported by stable operational performance and annual production capacity from 13 factories, totaling 3.43 million tonnes of urea, 300 thousand tonnes of NPK, and 2.74 million tonnes of ammonia.

Purwanto added that the company will continue to increase the reliability of operations through a number of strategic projects, such as rejuvenation (revamping) of the PKT-2 Amongia Factory.

"This project aims to increase energy efficiency, reduce gas consumption, and reduce CO2 emissions," he explained.

According to him, through this initiative, Pupuk Kaltim not only strengthens his contribution to national food security, but also increases the company's competitiveness and commitment to environmental sustainability.
