JAKARTA - In an effort to strengthen the ecosystem of compliance and sustainability of the National Health Insurance Program (JKN), BPJS Kesehatan gave appreciation to 110 business entities. The corporation is considered the most committed to fulfilling its obligations in the JKN Program.

As one of the winners of the Satya JKN 2025 award, PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) affirms its commitment to continue to maintain the welfare and health of all employees.

General Manager of HRD PT IWIP, Lina, explained that health is the company's top priority. Moreover, this integrated industrial company in North Maluku now has more than 80 thousand employees, and continues to strive to ensure that all workers are protected by the BPJS Health and Employment program.

"If employees are sick, of course productivity and product quality will also decrease. Therefore, we are fully committed to maintaining the health of workers," he said, quoted Wednesday, October 15.

According to Lina, the company already has a labor reporting system that runs continuously every month, both for new and outgoing employees. In addition, the company also bears all costs first if there are workers who have not been registered in the BPJS system.

"If someone has not been covered, the company will first deal with the costs, then we will take care of the reimbursement to BPJS," Lina explained.

Meanwhile, to support health services, IWIP has built a large clinic in industrial areas, complete with outpatient facilities and inpatients. The clinic also has regular health check services (MCU) which are carried out directly at the location without the need for referrals to external parties.

On the other hand, the company also presents the First Aid Program (FAP) system in the form of small clinics in the field area.

"Our work area is wide, more than 3,000 hectares. So we built FAP clinics at various points so that employees can immediately get first aid without having to travel long distances," he added.

Not only focusing on employee welfare, IWIP also contributed greatly to economic growth in North Maluku. Lina said, the existence of IWIP and tenants in the industrial area has driven regional economic growth in the second quarter of 2025 with a growth of 32.09% (year-on-year), this is the highest growth in Indonesia.

Our total workforce together with contractors reached more than 100 thousand people. We have also provided training to around 62,000 local communities to have skills and be able to work directly," said Lina.

Lina added that the company, which has only operated for about seven years, has also won a number of awards in the employment sector, including the Sidakarya Award, thanks to compliance with labor administration regulations and reporting.

"For us, the welfare of workers and compliance with the rules are the key to industrial sustainability," he concluded.

Through the award titled Satya JKN Award 2025, BPJS Kesehatan emphasized that business entities have a full responsibility to register and pay JKN membership fees for all workers. This compliance is not only an administrative obligation, but also a form of concern and commitment of business entities in protecting workers' health and supporting the sustainability of the JKN Program.
