KAI Commuter Records 667 Thousand Passengers Taking A Special Tariff Of IDR 80

JAKARTA - KAI Commuter presents a special tariff program of IDR 80, for all Jabodetabek Commuter Line users. This program is here to support the Government's program in enlivening the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

The special tariff program of Rp80, for all Jabodetabek Commuter Line users, is valid for two days, namely 17 to 18 August 2025.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Joni Martinus said from observations in the field, the condition of the Commuter Line station was observed to be conducive, crowded, and smooth.

Until 15.00 WIB, the volume of Commuter Line users was recorded as 666,982 people who came in and out of Jabodetabek Commuter Line stations. It was observed at stations located around the center of the celebration of Indonesian Independence," he said in an official statement, Sunday, August 17.

Joni said, as at Juanda Station, which is located around the Monas area, there were 26,544 people who disembarked at the station until 15.00 WIB.

"Meanwhile, at Sudirman Station and Jakarta Kota Station, there were 21,323 people each and 13,603 people who got off at the station," he said.

Joni said Bogor Station is the highest volume departure station for users. As of 15.00 WIB, there were 18,206 people who boarded the station.

"Meanwhile, at Citayam Station there were 15,199 people, and at Bekasi Station there were 11,580 people," added Joni.

As for the transit station, Manggarai Station as of 15.00 WIB has served 69,543 transit users, followed by Tanah Abang Station 41,894 people, Duri Station 24,647 people, and Kampung Bandan Station 12,726 people.

To anticipate the surge in Commuter Line users today, KAI Commuter added 9 trips until 01.00 WIB in the morning for the Commuter Line Bogor, Cikarang, Rangkasbitung, Tangerang, and Tanjung Priok routes.

KAI Commuter appealed to all users to continue to follow the rules and directions of the officers, not to force themselves to take the Commuter Line when the train condition is full, maintain luggage, and supervise the baby both on the Commuter Line and at the station.

"We also urge the public to look for the nearest alternative station to avoid the accumulation of users who will go up and down at stations located around the Indonesian Independence Day celebration center, such as Juanda Station and Sudirman Station," he said.
