JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP Muhammadiyah) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the development of Islamic economics and finance (expert) in Indonesia.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is expected to strengthen various initiatives and programs that will be carried out together, as well as a concrete step in realizing the vision and mission of making Indonesia the center of world sharia economy and finance.
Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo conveyed a memorandum of understanding between BI and PP Muhammadiyah as a form of joint effort in strengthening the ex-year in Indonesia.
He said that the MoU aims to be an umbrella in implementing exyar policy, especially in economic empowerment and deepening of the Islamic financial market.
Perry added that the second goal is to ensure that there is a transfer of knowledge between BI-PP Muhammadiyah, so that science in the field of exyar can be properly documented and continue to grow.
Furthermore, the third goal is to guide work to ensure the fulfillment of good governance principles in the formulation of the ex-system collaboration program.

On this occasion, General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir said that the cooperation between BI and PP Muhammadiyah in the development of exyar was not only a program, but also played a role in maintaining economic and social stability of the community.
"This can be realized through the application of the sharia concept in order to create a just economy," he explained.
