Pertamina EP Ensures Gas Supply To Jargas Consumers Returns To Normal After Pipe Explosion Incident

Pertamina EP confirmed that the situation at Subang Collection Station, Cidahu Village, West Pagaden District, Subang Regency, was under control and safe, after the incident at the CO2 Removal gas pipeline that occurred on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at around 04.30 WIB.

Pertamina EP juga memastikan pasokan gas kepada konsumen jargas kembali normal dan telah berhasil disalurkan kembali sejak Selasa 5 Agustus.

Pertamina EP's Communication Relations & CID Manager, Pinto Budi Bowo Laksono, said that the gas supply from Pertamina EP Subang Field to the State Gas Company (PGN) for the Subang Gas Network had been successfully distributed back at 16.30 WIB, with a volume of around 100 Million British Thermal Units per Day (MMBTUD).

Furthermore, Pinto said, Pertamina EP also ensures that further handling of injured workers, and in a state of full awareness at the time of the incident, has received good medical treatment. Intensive treatment is carried out at the Pertamina Hospital Unit Burn facility.

"The situation at the scene took place conducively, after energy isolation and shutdown down facilities were carried out. The process of examining the cause of the incident continues to ensure this incident does not happen again in the future," he said, Wednesday, August 6.

He continued, coordination regarding mitigation steps with SKK Migas, government agencies, and other related parties continues to be carried out to fulfill gas supply commitments through adjustment of operational and distribution patterns.

Previously, Pertamina reported that two workers suffered burns and were fully conscious. The two victims received the first treatment at Hamori Subang Hospital. The victim was then referred to a hospital in Jakarta for further treatment and treatment.
