Supported By The Attorney General's Office, Pertamina Boss Affirms Pertamax According To Specification

PT Pertamina (Persero) ensures that fuel oil (BBM) products, including Pertamax (RON 92) are in accordance with the technical specifications standards determined by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas), Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysius Mantiri, emphasized that Pertamina's fuel products have been through periodic quality tests by the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' Lemigas and the results show that the quality is in accordance with the technical standards set.

"In connection with the quality of fuel currently at Pertamina gas stations, we carry out routine tests in collaboration with Lemigas. Not only because of this incident, but this is a routine activity carried out by Lemigas to downstream business entities, including Pertamina," Simon said at a joint press conference between the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Pertamina, Lemigas, Surveyor Indonesia and TUV Rheinland Indonesia, in Jakarta, Thursday, March 6.

Simon revealed that Pertamina had conducted joint testing with Lemigas on 75 samples, including at Plumpang fuel terminals and 33 gas stations spread across Jakarta, Depok, Bogor and South Tangerang. Even Pertamina also involved independent parties, namely PT Surveyor Indonesia and PT TUV Rheinland Indonesia to participate in testing the quality of Pertamina's fuel.

"And the results of the test show that the quality of Pertamina's fuel products results are in accordance with the technical specifications standards required by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas ESDM," said Simon.

Simon advised the public not to worry and worry because the products at Pertamina gas stations are of high quality and in accordance with technical specifications standards.

"We will carry out this test continuously throughout Indonesia, and of course we also state to the public that this test will be open and transparent. The public can participate in supervising it," added Simon.

Di tempat yang sama Jaksa Agung ST Burhanuddin mengatakan bahwa penyidikan yang dilakukan Kejaksaan Agung terjadi pada rentang waktu 2018-2023, sehingga tidak terkait dengan produk Pertamax yang ada di pasar saat ini.

"Because fuel oil is used goods. And, if you look at the length of the stock of fuel adequacy, which ranges from 21 to 23 days, then the fuel that is marketed in 2018-2023 will no longer be in stock in 2024. The fuel that Pertamina is currently selling is good and is not related to cases being investigated," said Burhanuddin.

The Attorney General added that the public should remain calm and not be easily provoked by issues that are not necessarily true and cannot be accounted for.

People should remain calm, provide support for Pertamina to continue to move in a better direction. We will continue to provide support to PT Pertamina in carrying out its duties, especially the availability of fuel in the face of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446 H," said Burhanuddin.
