Pindad Ready To Release Maung To The Civil Market So That It Can Be Purchased By The Community

JAKARTA - PT Pindad (Persero) is preparing to launch Maung tactical vehicle products to the civilian market so that it can be purchased by the general public.

The rantis will be ready to be marketed to civilians after PT Pindad takes care of certification to the Ministry of Transportation.

"We are preparing the certification later with the Ministry of Transportation, with the Roadworthiness Testing and Motor Vehicle Certification Center (BPLJSKB)," said PT Pindad Technology and Development Director Prima Kharisma when met at the PT Pindad office in Bandung, West Java, quoted by Antara, Thursday 27 February.

Prima said the decision to market Maung products freely was due to the high public interest in vehicles made by the nation's children.

This interest was raised when President Prabowo Subianto made Maung the presidential operational vehicle.

However, Prima ensures that Maung, which will be produced in general, will experience a slight change to make it more comfortable for the community to use.

When asked about the estimated price of Maung MV3 after it was officially released to the market, he could not reveal this.

Furthermore, Prima targets the certification process at the Ministry of Transportation to be completed by the end of this month.

"So if for example it is certified, later the next step will be to continue to mass production," he explained.

Maung Pindad is the nickname for the Garuda Limousine MV3 SUV produced by PT Pindad (Persero). The car under the other name Maung Garuda is the work of the nation's children whose 70 percent component is local production.
