JAKARTA - PT PP Properti Tbk (PPRO), one of the leading property developers in Indonesia, shows the company's commitment to supporting cancer survivors through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program titled #MakeHopeHappen.

As part of social concern in commemorating World Cancer Day which falls on February 4, 2025, PPRO visited the Sasana Marsudi Husada (SMH) Shelter under the auspices of the Indonesian Cancer Foundation (YKI) located on Jalan Lebak Bulus Tengah No. 9, South Jakarta, on Thursday, February 13.

Through this social initiative, PPRO together with Management and Employees provides real support for those who are struggling with cancer. This program is a form of PPRO's concern and social responsibility as a business actor in helping cancer survivors in need.

As a tangible form of this commitment, PPRO distributed donations in the form of cash which were symbolically handed over by Afrilia Pratiwi as VP Corporate Secretary of PPRO, to dr. Siti Annisa Nuhonni, Sp.KFR Ger.(K) as Chair of the Central YKI Social Service Division, and accompanied by Dr. dr. Rebecca N. Angka, M. Biomed as the Executive Secretary of the Central YKI and Responsible for the Main Clinic and SMH YKI.

This assistance is intended for cancer patients under the auspices of YKI. This activity is not only focused on providing financial assistance, but aims to increase public awareness about the importance of early detection and cancer prevention.

Based on a report from the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is currently the second most cause of death in the world. In fact, it is estimated that more than 35 million people will be diagnosed with cancer by 2050, an increase of 77 percent compared to 20 million cases by 2022.

"Through this activity, we want to emphasize that PPRO together with Management and Employees are here to provide full support for cancer fighters. We hope they remain strong, excited, and continue to live life with full hope," said PPRO VP Corporate Secretary, Afrilia Pratiwi, in a statement, Friday, February 14.
