Minister Of Transportation Dudy Hopes For Kemkomdigi Support To Successfully Transport Eid 2025

Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwaghandi hopes that there will be support from the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) to make Lebaran 2025 transportation successful through the rapid dissemination of information for the public during the homecoming period.

"Thank you to the Ministry of Communication and Trade for helping us in disseminating information related to Christmas and New Year's 2024/2025 transportation. We hope that this collaboration can be increased again to face Eid 2025 transportation," said the Minister of Transportation in a statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Thursday 6 February.

Previously, the Minister of Transportation, Dudy Purwagandhi, and his staff had held a meeting with the Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, to discuss the collaboration that will be carried out regarding the dissemination of information about the 2025 Eid transportation.

The Minister of Transportation hopes that the good cooperation that has been carried out during the Christmas and New Year 2024/2025 transportation period can be continued.

In addition, the Minister of Transportation requested that the Ministry of Communication and Trade be actively involved in a number of communication actions and dissemination of information about the 2025 Eid transportation later.

"Of course we hope that in the future we can prepare everything together in the upcoming Eid," said the Minister of Transportation.

The Minister of Transportation also conveyed the possibility of utilizing mobile positioning data (MPD), collaborating with cellular operators, to measure national movements during the Lebaran 2025 period.

The Ministry of Transportation through the Transportation Information Center (Pusintrans) will develop artificial intelligence (AI) for the transportation sector by utilizing traffic data obtained from CCTV, ATMS, ATCS, and MPD (cellular operator). The Ministry of Transportation hopes that there will be Komdigi support in the use of this MPD.

Meanwhile, Minister of Trade, Meutya Hafid, mentioned a number of supports made by the Ministry of Communication and Digi on the previous Christmas and New Year's transportation and will be re-prepared for Eid 2025 transportation.

Among other things, conducting SMS blasts before the D day to ask the public to maintain safety and health during holidays, disseminate public information about Christmas and New Year's transportation through communication channels owned by the Ministry of Communication and Industry, as well as creating social media content and press releases related to Christmas and New Year's transportation.

The Ministry of Communication and Trade is also actively involved in information and communication centers in monitoring the flow of homecoming and smooth transportation, as well as conveying to the public.

In addition, it is also active in disseminating information related to travel safety and rest area information through digital media owned by the Ministry of Communication and Trade.

He admitted that his party is ready to cooperate with the Ministry of Transportation to support the implementation of Eid 2025 transportation.

"We will try to convey interesting and more interesting information in the minds of the public. Hopefully, it can be better in terms of reach and sharpness of information. We are ready to collaborate for that," said the Minister of Communication and Trade.
