The Price Of Coal Acuan January Is Set At 124.01 US Dollars Per Ton

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has set the Reference Coal Price (HBA) in January. This is stated in the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 21.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2025 concerning Reference Metal Mineral Prices and Reference Coal Prices for January 2024.

In this Ministerial Decree, HBA was set in January for coal commodities of 6,322 kcal per kg GAR, a total motion of 12.26 percent, a total of Sulphur 0.66 percent, and Ash 7.94 percent increased to 124.01 US dollars per tonne. This figure has increased from the previous month which was recorded at 122.51 US dollars per ton in December 2024.

Furthermore, HBA is set for coal commodity I, in equality with a value of 5.300 kcal/kg GAR, a Total Moisture of 21.32 percent, a Total of Sulphur 0.75 percent, and Ash 6.04 percent to 83.95 US dollars at an increase from the previous month which was priced at 81.59 US dollars per ton.

Meanwhile, the Reference Price for Coal commodity II is equal to a value of 4.100 kcal/kg GAR, a Total Moisture of 35.73 percent. Total Sulphur 0.23 percent and Ash 3.90 percent are set at 52.75. This figure has increased from the previous month which was set at 51.78 US dollars per ton.

As for the reference price for coal III, in equality, the value of water is 3,400 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture is 44.30 percent, Total Sulphur is 0.24 percent and Ash is 3.88 percent at 34.70 dollars per ton or a slight decrease from the previous month which was set at 35.28 US dollars per ton.
