JAKARTA – PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk. (BNI) is said to have just reached a cooperation agreement with PT Sub Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) related to business solutions in receiving bill payments in the port area.

BNI's SEVP of Digital Business Rian Kaslan said the collaboration between the two state enterprises would take the form of integrated cash management, both through company expense management services and receipts from service users for payment of port service bills using a host to host system.

"The new scheme will increase effectiveness and efficiency in terms of reporting, monitoring transactions and reconciliation," he said in an official statement on Thursday, June 30.

According to Rian, BNIDirect has successfully implemented BNIDirect services by actively using etax transactions, billing payments, payroll and transfers (inhouse and domestic) and has integrated H2H on Billing Payment and autocollection collection services for ports in Belawan and Dumai.

"Of course we hope that this collaboration can increase and create added value and benefits in financial management at SPMT," he said.

On the same occasion, SPMT Finance Director Yon Irawan hopes that port service payments are as easy as transactions in e-commerce, easy, fast and safe and provide the best service for service users.

"We appreciate BNI being proactive with SPMT in building business solutions in receiving bill payments at port services," he said.

For information, SPMT is a subsidiary of BUMN Pelindo since the corporation merged on October 1, 2021.

In terms of multi-terminal business, SPMT includes the port business with specialists in the field of multipurpose terminal operations in Indonesia, such as liquid bulk terminals, dry bulk, general cargo, and so on.
