Good News From Indomie Goreng, Indofood CBP Product Belonging To Conglomerate Anthony Salim Is Lined Up To Become The World's Most Delicious Instant Fried Noodles

JAKARTA - Indomie Goreng, one of the mainstay products of PT Indofood CBO Sukses Makmur Tbk owned by conglomerate Anthony Salim, has been named the world's best instant fried noodles by New York Magazine (NY Magazine).

Previously, NY Magazine collected various types of instant noodles from around the world. Then, the magazine makes an assessment based on the experiences of several chefs and writers.

The assessment of instant noodles by New York Magazine is also divided into several categories, namely the best instant noodle soup, the best instant fried noodle, and the best spicy instant noodle. Indomie Goreng is also included in the category of the best instant fried noodles.

Unmitigated, the two flavors of Indomie Goreng are considered the best according to New York Magazine's version. The two flavors are the original Indomie Goreng and the fried Indomie Fried chicken flavored.

Indomie is the only brand recommended by two culinary experts at once in NY Magazine's list of the best instant noodles this time.

Soleil Ho, a culinary critic from the Sans Francisco Chronicle, told NY Magazine that instant noodles like Indomie Goreng have a strong savory taste from the cooking oil and fried onions in the packaging.

"I have been eating this since elementary school, with my cousin, I will cook instant noodles when our parents are not at home," he said, quoted Thursday, October 7.

Meanwhile, culinary columnist for the Los Angeles Times Lucas Kwan Peterson chose Indomie Goreng with grilled chicken flavor as his favorite. He said that one way to identify delicious instant noodles was from the number of spice packs contained in the instant noodle packaging.

"One of the best ways (of choosing delicious instant noodles) is by the number of packets in it. Usually, although not always, there is a relationship between how many packets of things, namely oil, sauce, seasoning powder, and dried vegetables are in one package with how delicious the instant noodles are. Usually the more the better," said Peterson.

NY Magazine made an assessment of the best instant noodles with eight expert sources consisting of chefs, culinary columnists, cookbook writers, and other culinary experts.
