Ministry Of Finance Employees Donate 100 Oxygen Cylinders To Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital

JAKARTA - Employees at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) donated 100 units of oxygen cylinders and ventilators to help treat COVID-19 patients at the Wisma Atlet Jakarta emergency hospital.

Expert Staff for Legal Affairs and Institutional Relations of the Ministry of Finance Rina Widiyani Wahyuningdyah said the assistance was a form of concern for people at the Ministry of Finance for the current conditions that occurred in the country.

"In order to support the provision of health services, the Ministry of Finance through the Ministry of Finance Care program donated 100 oxygen cylinders and regulators to be used in health care", she said in an official statement, Thursday, July 22.

Rina added, in the midst of implementing Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) and efforts to deal with COVID-19, the government continues to be present through various programs to ease the burden on the community during the pandemic. Starting from the provision of free vaccines, distribution of two million drug packages for free, social assistance programs, electricity subsidies, provision of internet quotas, to incentives for business actors as well as tax relaxation.

However, in the face of a pandemic, mutual cooperation, hand in hand, and efforts from all elements of society are needed. For that, she continued, the Ministry of Finance Cares seeks to provide tangible benefits in the form of providing oxygen cylinders and regulators.

"We hope that the assistance provided can be useful for the treatment of COVID-19 patients at the Wisma Atlet hospital, with the hope that the pandemic will soon be controlled and handled properly and thoroughly", she said.

The aid itself was handed over on Sunday, July 18 and was immediately used by health workers to treat patients at the hospital.

For information, the Ministry of Finance Cares program is an act of solidarity from employees of the Ministry of Finance to help patients who need help. The funds used by the Ministry of Finance Cares come from voluntary contributions from Ministry of Finance employees spread throughout Indonesia.

Previously, the Ministry of Finance Care had also helped with funds for natural disasters in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province, floods in South Kalimantan, and earthquake victims in West Sulawesi.

"It is hoped that the Ministry of Finance Cares program can continue to be carried out as one of the services of the Ministry of Finance employees to the country", Rina concluded.
