Public Urged To Beware Of Fraud In The Name Of KSEI On Telegram

JAKARTA - PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) asks the public, especially investors in the capital market, to be aware of recent frauds on behalf of KSEI and its management through the Telegram social media group channel.

Head of KSEI's Corporate Secretary, Communication and Education Division, Rasmi M. Ramyakim informed that his party does not have Telegram or other social media accounts, such as WhatsApp (WA) and Line.

"KSEI's official social media accounts are on Instagram: @ksei.official, Twitter: @OfficialKSEI, Facebook: KSEI and YouTube: Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia", explained Rasmi in a written statement, quoted Thursday, June 24.

Rasmi said that KSEI is a Depository and Settlement Institution in the Indonesian Capital Market. This institution is not authorized to manage investment, including not authorized to collect public/investor money to be invested in any type of investment.

"In addition, KSI is also not authorized to offer any type of investment to the public/investors and is not authorized to provide guaranteed returns on the investments offered", said Rasmi.

Rasmi further said that KSEI is not responsible for the parties who are harmed in this regard. In fact, KSEI will take legal steps regarding the misuse and profiteering of the name of KSEI and its Management to irresponsible parties that may cause losses to the investor community.

Therefore, said Rasmi, in order to avoid the risk of such unwanted things, the investor community is requested to submit a report and/or confirmation to KSEI if there are parties acting on behalf of KSEI and its management.

The report can be submitted through KSEI's official social media on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
