Bambang Brodjonegoro Is No Longer A Minister, But Now Serves As A Commissioner In 3 Big Companies: Telkom, Bukalapak And Astra

JAKARTA - Some time ago, Bambang Brodjonegoro was released from the position of Minister of Research and Technology, because the ministry was merged with the Ministry of Education and Culture. But now, the former Minister of Finance is the President Commissioner of three large companies.

Most recently, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of PT Astra International Tbk decided to appoint Bambang Brodjonegoro as the company's Independent Commissioner. Currently, Bambang is also known to be the President Commissioner of PT Telkom (Persero) Tbk.

"Appointed Mr. Bambang Brodjonegoro as an Independent Commissioner as of the closing of this meeting for the term of office as determined by the articles of association", wrote Astra's written statement, received by VOI, Thursday, June 17.

Meanwhile, the company's board of commissioners consists of 10 people consisting of President Commissioner, Prijono Sugiarto, Independent Commissioner Sri Indrastuti Hadiputranto, Independent Commissioner Rahmat Waluyanto, Independent Commissioner Apinont Suchewaboripont, Independent Commissioner Bambang Brodjonegoro.

Then, Commissioner Anthony John Liddell Nightingale, Commissioner Benjamin William Keswick, Commissioner John Raymond Witt, Commissioner Stephen Patrick Gore, and Commissioner Benjamin Birks.

"As of the closing of this meeting until the 2023 Annual GMS. Except, John Raymond Witt and Stephen Patrick Gore which are valid until the 2022 Annual GMS, and Bambang Brodjonegoro until the 2024 Annual GMS", added Astra's management statement.

Previously, on May 28, 2021, Bambang Brodjonegoro was appointed as the President Commissioner of Telkom. Bambang has also served as President Commissioner at e-commerce giant Bukalapak, since April 30, 2021.
