Roasted By Kiky Saputri: Difficult For Erick Thohir To Be President Because Mr. Jokowi Is Rumored For 3 Periods

JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir admitted that he was ready to become Sandiaga Uno's success team in the 2024 presidential election. Erick's statement was delivered after receiving a roasting from comic Kiky Saputri at the event of BUMN Muda.

Initially, Kiky asked who decided to invite her to the event. After knowing that the invitation was Erick's wish, Kiky asked what the purpose was.

"I suspect that you invited me here because I saw your friend, Mr. Sandiaga Uno, roasted me. After I was roasted, he was immediately appointed as a minister. But you have become a minister. So what did you invite me to do?," asked Kiki to Erick, quoted from YouTube BUMN Muda, Monday, June 14.

Hearing Kiky's question, Erick joked that after roasting he might be removed from his position as Minister of SOEs.

"Maybe after invite Kiky, after roasting, I quit from ministry instead," Erick replied.

Hearing Erick's statement, Kiky said that the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti, had similar experiences. According to Kiki, after being roasted, Susi was no longer appointed as a minister by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"After I roasted, she was not a minister anymore. Do you know what Mrs. Susi is now? She's so fierce on Twitter. But who knows, Mr. Erick, after I roast, you'll be ready for 2024, to be a member of success team again, because to become president it will be difficult" she said.

Erick also replied that he would be ready to face the 2024 presidential election, not to run as a presidential candidate (candidate) but to become a success team for his friend, Sandiaga Uno.

"Mr. Sandi's success team, please," Erick replied with a chuckle.

Kiky also replied to Erick's answer. She said that it would be difficult for Erick to run in the 2024 presidential election. Because, according to her, rumors were circulating that the presidential term would be increased to three terms.

"Oh yes, you can (become a successful team). Because if you become president, it's a bit difficult, because Mr. Jokowi has three terms. Huh, how I can't hold my mouth," she said

On this occasion, Kiky explained that roasting in the world of stand-up comedy is known as a form of comedy by insulting or ridiculing someone with the intention of respecting the individual.

"So we really respect and appreciate all the achievements and what he did, the sources we roasted, can't be random people, must be great people and also have mercy on them," said Kiki.
