Convection Entrepreneurs Complain About Lack Of Quality Human Resources When Domestic Requests Start To Rise

JAKARTA - Convection entrepreneurs have complained about the lack of quality human resources (HR) amid increasing demand for domestic products.

Chairman of the Working Convection Entrepreneurs Association (IPKB) Nandi Herdiaman asked the government to help increase the capacity of these human resources.

"We need government assistance to provide training and coaching programs for tailoring human resources, so that they can improve skills and productivity," said Nandi in an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, December 9.

Nandi said the demand for domestic products had begun to increase, especially after the ban on illegal imported clothing. However, he admits that he still faces challenges in meeting the request due to the lack of quality tailoring human resources.

"We, small and medium industry players (IKM) convection, ask the government's attention to help increase the capacity of tailored human resources in Indonesia," he said.

According to him, so far the sewing training program is only for large-scale corporate garment.

"Don't just sew a sewing training program for large-scale corporate garment, but there must be a HR program for small and medium enterprises," he explained.

Nandi believes that with the program of providing quality human resources, domestic products can rise again to become kings in their own country.

"We are ready to work with the government to improve the convection industry in Indonesia," he added.
