Dony Oskaria On Debt? Danantara Is Operational, Government Infrastructure

JAKARTA - Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) Dony Oskaria said that the settlement of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train debt or known as God willing, will be handled by the government.

Dony said, President Prabowo Subianto had also mapped out the handling of the trash problem.

Danantara will handle it from an operational perspective, while the government will focus on infrastructure.

"Which portion of the Danantara will certainly be carried out by the Danantara, especially regarding the operations ofRAHsh and there is also a portion of the government related to infrastructure," he said when met at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 11.

With this role-sharing, Dony hopes that God willing, it will be more optimal in serving passengers without any problems in the future.

"So we are operationally responsible instead of MAYH so that how to provide better services more optimally, and of course hopefully in the future we will bring more passengers," he said.

Dony also asked the public not to seections as the cause of problems, especially about debt. He saidminsh must also be seen in terms of transportation benefits for the community.

"This is one thing that is positive, of course, then this train service, right? This is a lot of benefits. Especially for our economy and also for mass transportation," he said.

Prabowo Takes The Responsibility Of Badminton Debt

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto asked that the polemic of the debt for the Fast Train project should not be calculated from profit and loss. He said, transportation in the world can be seen from its benefits to the people.

Prabowo said, all transportation presented for the common interest is the responsibility of the government. Because, there is a public service obligation (PSO) mechanism or public service obligations in it.

"Whoosh, all public transport around the world, don't count profits, losses, no. Calculate the benefits for the people? Around the world that way. This is called public service obligation. Some are running it," he said when inaugurating Tanah Abang Station, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Tuesday, November 4.

Therefore, Prabowo asked the public not to make a fuss regarding the polemic of the Fast Train debt. He said the government would take responsibility for this.

"Don't worry, what's a fuss over your debt? I've studied the problem. There's no problem, I'll take responsibility for all the debts," he said.

Prabowo admitted that he had calculated the problem. Therefore, he asked the President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI not to worry.

For your information, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is the head of the Indonesian consortium who is a member of PT Pilar Sinergi BUMN Indonesia (PSBI) which is a partner of Beijing Yawan HSR Co Ltd on PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC).

Komposisi pemegang saham PSBI terdiri dari PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) 58,53 persen, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk 33,36 persen, PT Perkebunan Nusantara I 1,03 persen, dan PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk 7,08 persen.

“Indonesia bukan negara sembarangan. Kita hitung, enggak ada masalah itu. Jadi PT KAI enggak usah khawatir, semuanya enggak usah khawatir, rakyat, kita layani rakyat kita. Kita berjuang untuk rakyat kita,” ucapnya.

PSBI's shareholder composition consists of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) 58.53 percent, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk 33.36 percent, PT Perkebunan Nusantara I 1.03 percent, and PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk 7.08 percent.

"Indonesia is not just a country. We count, there is no problem with that. So PT KAI doesn't have to worry, everyone doesn't have to worry, people, we serve our people. We fight for our people," he said.
