Head of the Manpower Planning and Development Agency Anwar Sanusi said, in this first stage, the internship area was dominated by the provinces of DKI Jakarta, West Java, and East Java.

"The highest number of registered companies and the most positions of internships received are DKI Jakarta, West Java, and East Java. This means that most internship opportunities are still centered at major city points," said Anwar, Monday, October 20.

Anwar added, in the first batch, it will be divided into two waves, namely wave I with 15,000 participants, while the second wave with 5,000 participants.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Manpower Yassierli said that in the second batch, the government would ensure that this internship program would be evenly distributed outside the Javanese island area with 80,000 participants remaining.

"The second batch we will start with outside Java first. We will fill this out," Yassierli said on the same occasion.

Yassierli said the second batch internship program will open in mid-November with 80,000 participants.

"We entered batch 2 with a target of 80 thousand people and we hope that by mid-November it will start batch 2," Yassierli explained.

He explained that later participants would undergo an internship for six months of apprenticeship, participants would get pocket money equivalent to the minimum wage paid by the government through Himbara banks such as BNI, BRI, BTN, Mandiri, and BSI.
