PT PLN (Persero) distributed free electricity connection assistance to 2,821 welfare families throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo, explained that the activities originating from the initiation and voluntary donations of PLN employees have been carried out since 2020 and have succeeded in providing free connections to 37,088 customers throughout Indonesia.
"This year, as of August 2025, 7,978 prosperous families in 38 provinces have received free electricity connections through the program," he said, Thursday, August 21.

Romi Wahyudi, a resident of Ulak Karang Utara, Padang, West Sumatra who is one of the beneficiaries of the LUTD program, expressed his gratitude for the assistance for connecting the electricity provided. "I would like to thank all PLN employees from the center to the regions. Thank God, I enjoyed the free electricity that was given to PLN. Hopefully, thanks to this, my family can make better use of it," said Romi.
Not only beneficiaries, this program also received a positive response from the Regional Government. The Governor of Southwest Papua, Elisa Kambu, appreciated the initiation program of this PLN employee, which consistently provides access to electricity for underprivileged communities.

On this occasion we convey that the Provincial Government of Southwest Papua provides full support for this program and is expected to continue in the future.
