JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Rosan P. Roeslani said mutual cooperation vaccination will begin next week and is expected to be a joint effort to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Mutual cooperation vaccination will start next week and of course we hope that vaccination will be one of the determining factors in dealing with our health and economic factors in the future," he said as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 7.
Rosan said, Indonesia currently has a momentum that is getting better and better not only from the economic side but also from the health side. According to him, this was indicated by the improving trend of economic growth, although it was still in a contractionary condition.
From a health perspective, the vaccination program is also running well, coupled with an independent vaccine program that will soon be implemented.
"Maybe at the end of March, it started to experience a slowdown due to the limited availability of vaccines. But now it has returned to both Sinovac, AstraZeneca, and even Sinopharm. For mutual cooperation (Sinopharm) vaccines have also entered," he said.
Rosan also reminded us to continue to maintain the existing momentum by continuing to adapt, create and innovate.
"Handling COVID-19 if we look at the rankings of several countries, we are considered countries that handle COVID-19 well. Of course, we hope this can continue. But health protocols must also be implemented properly," concluded Rosan.
Previously, on April 30, 2021, as many as 482,400 vaccines in the finished form (vial) from Sinopharm had arrived in Indonesia via Soekarno Hatta Airport.
Sinopharm is one of the vaccine brands that will be used for the mutual cooperation vaccination program. The government stated that the Gotong Royong vaccination is prioritized based on priority zoning to reduce the spread of COVID-19, then based on companies that have registered with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), and labor-intensive industrial sectors.

Vaccine price range
Mutual cooperation is procured by PT Bio Farma (Persero) through a holding member, PT Kimia Farma Tbk. Later, entrepreneurs through the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) will buy vaccines from Bio Farma.
The spokesperson for COVID-19 Vaccination from Bio Farma Bambang Heriyanto said the estimated price of the vaccine to be sold to entrepreneurs is around Rp500 thousand/dose. But these numbers are not final and are still being discussed.
"Estimates have already been submitted to the range of Rp500 thousand per dose. That includes service. So if two doses are around Rp1 million," he said, Thursday, May 6.
The final price is still being calculated. His party received assistance from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) so that the process was transparent.
After that, the vaccine price will be set by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).
"We are still waiting because it is still in process. Hopefully, we can finalize this price before the implementation. This price will also be submitted to the Ministry of Health to be determined," he explained.
However, participants who will be vaccinated in the mutual cooperation program do not need to worry because all costs are borne by the employing company.
