Officers Use Used Antigen Rapid Test, Managing Director Of Kimia Farma: This Action Is Detrimental To The Company

JAKARTA - PT Kimia Farma Tbk, through its subordinate company, namely PT Kimia Farma Diagnostik, is currently conducting a joint investigation with law enforcement officials. This is related to the arrest of four Kimia Farma officers who carried out a rapid COVID-19 antigen test at Kualanamu Airport, Medan.

For your information, these officers were secured by law enforcement officials because they were suspected of using recycled rapid antigen which made the positive detection of COVID-19 results.

Responding to this, the President Director of PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika Adil Fadhilah Bulqini said that his party would provide full support for the investigation process of individuals who are responsible for the rapid test service personnel of Kimia Farma Diagnostika at Kualanamu Airport who are suspected of taking action to reuse the antigen rapid test tool.

"We fully support the investigation carried out by the authorities into the case. The actions taken by the personnel of the Kimia Farma Diagnostic Rapid Test service are very detrimental to the Company and are very contrary to the company's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and constitute a very serious violation of the actions of the Rapid Test service officers", he said through an official statement, Wednesday, April 28.

If found guilty, Adil said that the unscrupulous rapid test service officers would be given firm action and heavy sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations.

"Kimia Farma has a high commitment as a leading pharmaceutical state-owned company that has been established since the Dutch era, to provide the best quality services and products, to bring services closer to the community and to continue to carry out comprehensive evaluations and strengthen monitoring of SOP implementation in the field so that it does not reoccur", he explained.

Previously, Subdit IV Personnel for Certain Crimes (Tipidter) of the Special Crime Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumut) raided the location of the alleged violation of the Law on Health at Kualanamu International Airport on Tuesday, April 27 afternoon.

From the raid, there were six medical officers who were examined and several patients (participants of the antigen rapid test) who were asked for information. Until now, the medical officer is still at the North Sumatra Regional Police Headquarters for examination.
