Telan Biaya Rp2,7 Triliun, Flyover Sitinjak Lauik Ditargetkan Rampung 2.5 Tahun

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) built the Panorama I Flyover (Lauik I Review) through the Government and Business Entity Cooperation (PPP) scheme.

The signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) for the Sitinjak Lauik I KPBU project was held on Friday, March 21, at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works, Jakarta, by the Director General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works Roy Rizali Anwar and the Director of PT Hutama Panorama Sitinjak Lauik (HPSL) Michael AP Rumenser.

EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said the KPBU Flyover Sitinjak Lauik project was a strategic step in improving the quality of infrastructure in West Sumatra.

"With the KPBU scheme, we can ensure that this project is not only responsive in meeting infrastructure needs, but also sustainable and providing significant economic benefits for the local community," said Adjib in his official statement, Monday, March 24.

The project involved PT Hutama Panorama Sitinjak Lauik (PT HPSL) as the Implementing Business Entity (BUP), which was formed by a consortium between Hutama Karya (55 percent) and HKI (45 percent).

The project worth IDR 2.7 trillion is expected to be completed within 2.5 years of construction and 10 years of operation.

The work includes technical planning, construction of 2,774-kilometer road and bridge (flyover) and preservation during the operational period.

According to Adjib, after it is completed, the flyover will open wider access to leading tourist destinations in West Sumatra, such as Lake Singkarak and the Harau Valley.

"So, increasing tourism potential in the region as well as facilitating the distribution of goods and logistics," said Adjib.

"This project is also expected to increase local economic growth and reduce logistics costs and can create jobs for local residents," he concluded.
