JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) together with Hiroshima University (Japan) strengthen collaboration to improve the quality of domestic industrial human resources (HR), through efforts to increase access to Indonesian student education.

Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated that efforts to strengthen the synergy of developing domestic industrial human resources were carried out when he met with President of Hiroshima University Mitsuo Ochi in Jakarta, Monday, March 17.

Through this meeting, Agus hopes that it can further strengthen relations and cooperation in general between Indonesia and Japan and specifically the Ministry of Industry and Hiroshima University.

"We affirm our shared commitment to supporting the development of human resource capacity through various educational cooperation initiatives," Agus said in a written statement, Tuesday, March 18.

Agus said that his party also continues to encourage increased access to education for Indonesian students to produce high competitive human resources.

He is optimistic that the cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Hiroshima University can continue to grow.

Not only in the realm of education, but also in increasing the capacity of human resources more broadly.

"I hope this meeting can be useful for the implementation of a memorandum of understanding related to the scholarship program between the Ministry of Industry and Hiroshima University as well as other programs that can be cooperated," he said.

On this occasion, Agus also highlighted the close industrial relationship between Indonesia and Japan.
