Netz Develops Payment Ecosystem Collaboration Via QRIS Tap

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia launched the latest service, QRIS Tap or QRIS Without Scan which is an innovation in the digital payment system. QRIS TAP provides an alternative transaction to be done simply by bringing the smartphone closer to the payment terminal.

During the launch of QRIS Tap, Bank Indonesia collaborated with the Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development, the Ministry of Transportation, and the DKI Jakarta Government, and PJP First Movers to support the transition to a more modern and inclusive payment system using the first payment system in Indonesia using the NFC.

As a form of realizing the commitment to support the digitization of MSMEs in Indonesia, PT Netzme Kreasi Indonesia (Netzme) released the QRIS Tap feature based on NFC through the QRIS Soundbox Netzme PRO, an all-in-one QRIS Payment device that changes the game and is built specifically for MSMEs. Whether it's the QRIS MPM Statis/Dianamis, CPM, or QRIS Tap, this tool allows small to medium enterprises to accept any QRIS payment mode smoothly.

Vicky G Saputra, CEO of PT Netzme Kreasi Indonesia, said that Netzme is proud to be one of the first PJP mover QRIS Tap Based on NFC which is ready to revolutionize Indonesia's payments.

"On the day of QRIS Tap's launch, Netzme became the first acquisition to implement the QRIS TAP payment through the QRIS Soundbox Netzme Pro at the Trademark Market held at the MRT HI Jakarta Roundabout. This event is the first bazaar to use QRIS Tap technology in Indonesia," Vicky said in a statement, Monday, March 17.

The QRIS Soundbox Netzme PRO was introduced first in the Trademark Market bazaar, one of a series of events from the QRIS TAP launch, which took place on March 13-16, 2025, in the MRT Bundaran HI area, Jakarta. A total of 40 local brands at the Trademark Market MRT Bundaran HI use the QRIS Soundbox PRO Lite so that it allows transactions to be faster, safer, and more efficient.

In the bazaar, Netzme as a acquisitioner (QRIS Soundbox Pro provider who can receive QRIS TAP transactions) collaborated with ALTO NETWORK as the provider of the main switching system and Shopee Pay as the issuer.

"This technology is believed to be the ideal solution for payments in the public transportation service sector, parking, hospitals, and various MSME merchants, thanks to the ease of use," said Vicky.

Unlike conventional QRIS which requires a QR code scan process, QRIS Tap NFC allows users to simply attach an NFC technology mobile phone (tap) to a soundbox merchant device, so transactions can be made faster, more practical, and without touch.

Previously, on Friday, March 14, Bank Indonesia (BI) together with the Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development, the Ministry of Transportation, and the DKI Jakarta Government officially launched QRIS Without Scan (QRIS TAP). This innovation is a step forward in a digital payment system that offers alternative fast, easy, cheap, safe, and reliable payments for the community, especially in supporting public services and retail transactions.

In his remarks, BI Governor Perry Warjiyo emphasized that the Near Field Communication (NFC)-based TAP QRIS will increase the speed and convenience of contactless transactions.

"This implementation will expand the digital payment ecosystem which is inclusive and safe for public services," he explained.
