JAKARTA - A well-known national entrepreneur who is also the owner of the Artha Graha Group, Tomy Winata, said that he also discussed job creation with President Prabowo Subianto.

This was conveyed by Tomy after fulfilling President Prabowo's invitation to a meeting between National entrepreneurs and investors from the United States Ray Dalio, as well as Danantara leaders and ministers at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 8.

"It's good to build everything, create jobs," Tomy told the media.

The meeting between Tomy and several big entrepreneurs from Indonesia with Prabowo was held twice, namely on Thursday, March 7 and Friday 8 March.

According to Tomy, job creation is one of the topics that is the main focus of discussion with President Prabowo.

The creation of jobs through the establishment of the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) aims to overcome the wave of working relationship (PHK) for the community.

"Yes, so that the people live a more prosperous life. That includes so that in the future layoffs will be completed," said Tomy.

During the meeting on Friday, Ray Dalio provided input for Danantara as Indonesia's SWF, which includes investment issues, corporate governance in accordance with the principles of good governance, risk management to investment commitments.

Regarding the Danantara, Tomy also gave his views and hopes about the agency.

"Yes, Danantara must be great, progress," he said.

President Prabowo on Thursday, March 6 evening received the presence of eight major entrepreneurs in Indonesia who have different business backgrounds, including Anthony Salim, Sugianto Kusuma, Prajogo Pangestu, Boy Thohir, Franky Widjaja, Dato Sri Tahir, James Riady, and Tomy Winata.

Based on an upload from Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya through the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, the President's meeting with entrepreneurs also discussed domestic topics, including the main program and the flagship of the Red and White Cabinet (KMP) which covers various sectors, ranging from health to the industrial sector.

Various programs discussed include the Free Nutrition Food program which has been running since early 2025, the Food and Energy Swasembada program, support programs for infrastructure, industrialization, programs related to the textile industry, to discussing the latest programs, namely the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (Dantara).
