Support The Smooth Flow Of Homecoming And Logistics Ahead Of Eid 2025, GIS Guarantees The Stability Of Construction Of The Jogja-Solo Toll Road

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government continues to finalize preparations for the 2025 Eid homecoming. Starting from the mode of homecoming transportation, traffic engineering, to toll road infrastructure, it is prepared to support smoothness and provide comfort for travelers. One of the toll roads prepared for Eid Al-Fitr 2025 homecoming is the Jogja-Solo Toll Road which is built with cement products from PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG).

SIG's Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said, as a provider of solutions for leading building materials in Indonesia, SIG has a variety of products and solutions for various development needs.

"The cement product supply from SIG on the Jogja-Solo toll road construction project contributes to guaranteeing the quality of construction resilience in the long term, especially ahead of the upcoming Eid homecoming flow where there will be an increase in the traffic load between regions in Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta," said Vita Mahreyni, in his statement, Friday.

The Jogja-Solo toll road will stretch along 96.57 km and split into 3 sections, covering Section 1 Kartasura Purwomartani; Section 2 Purwomartani - Junction Sleman; and Section 3 JC Sleman Kulonprogo. This National Strategic Project (PSN) has a significant role in increasing connectivity in the Joglo Semar golden triangle (Jogja-Solo-Semarang), as well as functioning to connect national tourism areas, so that it is expected to encourage new economic growth in the regions.

Vita Mahreyni also underlined that in addition to supporting the comfort of travelers to their hometowns, GIS' contribution to the Jogja Solo Toll project also help ensure that logistics distribution runs well to maintain the availability of needs during holidays. This is in line with Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto and the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, to continue infrastructure development in order to achieve economic growth.

It was noted that from January 2022 to December 2024, GIS had supplied 253,172 tons of cement for the construction of Section 1.2 (elevated ring road). Section 1.1 of the Kartasura Klaten section itself has been inaugurated in September 2024.
