THR ASN 2021 Paid D-10 Eid, Government Asked To Spend Directly

YOGYAKARTA - The government will soon provide Holiday Allowances (THR) for State Civil Servants (ASN). The provision of allowances is a little different from last year. If the 2020 THR is cut for reasons of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year, the THR will be given in full.

The Secretary of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Susiwijono Moegiarso said, THR 2021 was paid 10 days before the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1442 H.

"Even for ASN, the Coordinating Minister (Airlangga Hartarto) yesterday told the Minister of Finance (Sri Mulyani) to pay the D-10 (THR)", said Moegiarso in the Power Lunch program, quoted by VOI, Friday, April 23, 2021.

Previously, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati confirmed that the 2021 THR budget for civil servants, TNI, and Police, amounting to IDR 30.6 trillion will be distributed on D-10 to D-5 for Eid 2021.

"This THR will be paid on D-10 to D-5 because usually, this is gradual", said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani during the online press conference of the APBN KITA in Jakarta, Thursday, April 22, 2021.

Currently, she continued, the government is finalizing the discussion of implementing regulations for THR disbursement in the form of Government Regulations so that President Jokowi can sign them immediately.

The THR 2021 disbursement schedule for ASN is faster than private workers, seven days before Eid is expected to boost the economy by increasing people's purchasing power. Given, currently, people's purchasing power is still weak due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani assessed that giving THR will encourage people to shop so that it can have a positive impact on shopping in the community.

"So the THR is a very significant amount and we hope it will encourage even though the community does not go home, but they can still send it to their parents or relatives in the city where they live", said Sri.

Sri Mulyani advised the public to participate in the economic recovery program by shopping at shopping centers but still applying health protocols.

The government, continued Sri, will use a variety of creative instruments such as the National Online Shopping Day so that people are willing to spend their THR money for shopping.

"Consumption activity continues, investment starts to grow, and these will all be a recipe for us to recover the economy without causing an increase in the number of COVID-19", she explained.
