JAKARTA - The Presidential Special Advisor for Economics and National Development, Bambang Brodjonegoro, said that the leadership structure of the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) must be fully committed to running the company's operations.
This statement was in response to the organizational structure of the Danantara managed by a number of officials with concurrent positions.
"Ideally, of course, to manage a large (Dantara) company, it takes a commitment of time and commitment to really run the company well," Bambang said when met by reporters at the Digital Economy Forum 2025 event in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 25.
Bambang admitted that he did not know for sure the official rules regarding concurrent positions in the Danantara leadership structure.
"(About) my concurrent position, frankly, I haven't read this rule," he said.
As is known, the leadership structure of the Danantara is currently led by the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming of the Republic of Indonesia Rosan Roeslani as Group CEO.
Rosan will be assisted by Deputy Minister of SOEs Donny Oskaria as chief operational officer (COO), and Pandu Sjahrir as chief investment officer (CIO).
In addition, SOE Minister Erick Thohir was appointed as Chairman of the Danantara Supervisory Board, accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board Muliaman Hadad.
In addition to highlighting commitments in the management structure of Danantara, Bambang also expressed his support for transparency in the management of the investment agency.
He agreed with the proposal of the Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (Indef) so that Danantara has a special website that presents the openness of future investment reports, targets, and policies.
"Oh yes, obviously, it must be clear and of course the process of openness, the process for socialization, because maybe this sentiment had arisen because this (Danantara) was a new thing for Indonesia," he explained.

This transparency is expected to ensure that the management of state investment runs according to good governance principles, as regulated in the Santiago Principle (Santiago Principles) which is the standard for SWFs in various countries.
The Danantara, which was just launched by President Prabowo Subianto at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, last Monday (24/2), will manage assets of more than 900 billion US dollars with an initial projected fund of 20 billion US dollars.
This agency acts as Indonesia's Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) to manage national investment.
