Top Management Krakatau Steel Group Implements Joint Leadership Training At The Indonesian Defense University

JAKARTA - PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk and Group on Thursday, February 20, 2025 simultaneously carried out the Short Course on Strategic Management & Leadership Krakatau Steel Group Leadership Training for the Top Management which was held in collaboration with the Defense University of the Republic of Indonesia and Group I Kopassus. The training was attended directly by the Dean of the Defense Faculty of the Indonesian Defense Management, Admiral TNI Dr. Sri Yanto, ST, M.Si (Han).

On this occasion, the directors of Krakatau Steel together with a total of 100 top management participants of Krakatau Steel Group participated and were forged in training. This activity is a follow-up to several members of our Board of Directors, including me who have participated in Executive Course on Strategic Management and Leadership Cohort-5, so we want to gain insight about leadership not stopping at the previous event participants but also all management at Krakatau Steel Group," explained the President Director of Krakatau Steel Muhamad Akbar Djohan.

The Dean of the Defense Management Faculty of the Indonesian Defense Defense University, Admiral TNI Dr. Sri Yanto, STA, M.S. (Han). who was present in this leadership training said that the Indonesian Defense University welcomed the high enthusiasm of this event. Krakatau Steel as a national strategic industry requires Human Resources (HR) capable of initiating national defense.

"We are proud to be a facilitator in organizing the Short Course on Strategic Management & Leadership Krakatau Steel Group Leadership Training. This is a good synergy and collaboration to develop capabilities in national defense. Because with a strong strategic industry, we will have great national defense," explained Admiral TNI Dr. Sri Yanto, ST., M.Si (Han).

In his statement, Akbar Djohan said that this activity is also our implementation in supporting the President's Asta Cita, which is the 4: aspiration to strengthen human resource development.

Some time ago, President Prabowo Subianto had given his cabinet treatment at the Magelang Military Academy before carrying out his country's duties, so Krakatau Steel as a state-owned company also did not want to be left behind to provide briefing for its leaders before carrying out its country's duties. This is a big inspiration that moves A to Z to create new leaders.

Krakkatau Steel as one of the vital national objects, is currently no longer only focused on the steel business, but our focus is on how we can develop our downstream industry, including the port industry, property, regional development, industrial water treatment to information technology services. This transformation is carried out as an effort to improve performance so that as a strategic industry we can continue to grow to support national development," added Akbar Djohan.

Furthermore, Akbar Djohan also stated that Krakatau Steel started with the spirit of the Evolutionary Movements 'Committed To Transform', namely fostering trust and transparency with stakeholders.

"This can generate investor confidence and enthusiasm, maintain Brand Equity as the leader of the National Strategic Industry and build Social Movement Initiatives to highlight the positive impact of Krakatau Steel," said Akbar Djohan.

Closing his statement, Akbar Djohan said that in the future Kratakkatau Steel would not just produce Steel, but build trustworthy.
